Facebook rose up as a competitor of the large tech companies like Google, Microsoft and Apple and we’ve seen a great increase in competition between these big four organizations. Twitter search has been a leading search engine in getting realtime search results, but usually the results are poluted with retweets and other random tweets. When using Twitter’s advanced search engine you are able to exclude and include specific words and phrases, being able to search more precise for your information. For the dutch website Marketingfacts.nl, I wrote a report on Paperjammed 2010, a small social media convention for students who are writing their thesis.
