This year’s Le Web was a real treat for mobile and social enthusiasts. While last year’s theme was ‘Platforms’, which obviously can be interpreted in various ways, this year was all bout Social, Local and Mobile (SoLoMo). The conference had some great speakers. A lot of companies announced new innovations during the event, which shows LeWeb is gaining more and more ground in technology conferences. Accompanied by a cup of tea I watched several sessions by livestream. I’ve posted my favorite speakers below for a quick recap of a great conference.
1. State of Social Business, by Jeremiah Owyang
Jeremiah (Partner at Altimeter Group) justly pointed out the inexperience and ignorance in enterprises. The majority of organizations are failing to adapt social in their corporate structure. By introducing the Social Business Hierarchy of Needs (based on Maslow’s pyramid) he is able to point out in which stage of social transformation a corporation could be situated. The session was very clear and most interesting to watch. Definitely a must-see for anyone affected by social transformation in the coporate environment.
